The Friday Five

1. What I'm reading:

I finished Gone Girl. It was SO good! If you have been thinking of reading it for a while (like I was) then read it now! I started Before I Fall and am already over half way finished with it. While it is a little young in some parts, overall I have really enjoyed it. It is a very quick read and I'm dying to see what happens in the end. I already downloaded Her Best Friend's Brother to read next. It popped up in my recommendations and was only $2.99. The reviews were good overall so I will let you know what I think. What can I say? I'm a sucker for a cheesy romance.

From Amazon:
Libby has been in love with Tony Marchetti since she was seven years old. The problem? Tony is her best friend's older brother. Lately Tony has started looking at her in a new way and he emails her all the time. Could it be possible that he is starting to see her as more than his kid sister's best friend?

Tony knows Libby McKay is off limits. She's his sister's best friend for crying out loud! But she is also smart, funny, and seriously hot. Plus she's not afraid to get a little sweaty-- on the track that is. Tony can't seem to help himself, besides what's a few emails? The occasional phone call? He can keep things light and friendly-- Can't he?

2. What I'm listening to: Aex Goot. He has amazing covers and original songs. Love him.

3. What I'm eating:

This stuff is addictive! I could literally go through a whole bag of carrots in one sitting. I am dying to try the Spinach Artichoke flavor but my Publix has been out this week.

Pears! The red ones are my favorites, so sweet and juicy.

I honestly will eat anything from Chick-fil-A. This week I rediscovered my love for the chicken mini while running behind for work.

4. What I'm watching:

Great music- check
Heartwarming stories- check
Hot Adam Levine- check check check

5. What I'm Bookmarking

This amazing blog with great DIY jewelry projects that I can't wait to try. This one I love! How cute are these friendship bracelets?!

I also discovered that my favorite bachelorette Jillian Harris has a really great blog with everything from fashion to design tips to recipes. It is so cute and definitely worth checking out! I love her design style.

PB Rooms

My parents recently bought a new house so needless to say my Mother and I have been obsessed with decorating for the last 2 weeks. I have scoured the Internet for ideas for furniture and bedding. It's quite exhausting but sooo fun. I'm pretty convinced that I would love to work for Pottery Barn and do nothing but create beautiful rooms all day long. (A girl can dream right?!) Anyway, in my search I have found some amazing rooms that I am just in love with and hope to recreate. Pottery Barn just has this way of making a room so cozy and cheerful at the same time. I just love it.

(side note/p.s.: any help with sites that have great bedding, besides department stores (I have checked them ALL) would be a huge help!! :) )

Room ideas I love...

Front Porch Looking In

As a southern gal I am a huge fan of porch sitting. I love it in the summertime when you can sit outside with something cold to drink and talk with the ones you love about your day. Porches are a staple in the south, it is where we recieve guests into our home, wind down a long day or go to take a sunday afternoon nap. I was recently on Southern Living's website and saw some gorgeous pictures of portches that I just have to share. I cannot wait to have my very own porch one day that I can transform into a beautiful space like these.. and as we say in the south.. come sit a while...

I love that they made this into an outdoor dining room and living space. This would be perfect for having guests over for lunch during the day or you could transform it into a formal space by changing the lighting at night.

I love this one because it seems calm and relaxed. I like how they used nautical seafoam colors to give the room a tranquil feel. They made it feel like a beach house, which I love.

I love this one because of all the outdoor plants and the overhead lighting. This porch would be perfect for entertaining.

This one just seems perfect for a sunday afternoon lunch or a late afternoon lemonade to me. I love the outdoor fireplace.
