Friday Five

1. What I'm Reading:

Sad to say I slacked a little bit in this department. Still working on the books from last week, hoping to finish those up this weekend.

2. What I'm Listening To:

Ray Lamontagne. Fell in love with him after Tony Lucca covered his song Trouble on The Voice.

3. What I'm Watching:

Think Lost meets Blair Witch Project. Kinda creepy but very entertaining.

I love this show. It puts me in a good mood.

4. What I'm Eating:

I have become addicted to these this week. The Buffalo Wing flavor is my absolute favorite. They come in original, sesame seed and everything bagel flavors. So good.

I love cheese. Gouda is by far one of my favorite kinds but sometimes I forget to buy it at the deli. I bought some this week and ate it on crackers, so delish. I made it a "project" to pick up a different cheese each week to try them all. I will report back on my findings.

5. What I'm Pinning:

Spring outfits. All with strips apparently.

What are you reading, watching, listening to, eating and pinning?

My new fav lipstick

If you have never tried a Chanel lipstick you really should. There is just something about taking a Chanel lipstick out of your handbag and putting it on that makes you feel more sophisticated.  I recently bought a new color that I had read really great reviews on and I am so in love with it. If you are in the market for a new lipstick and want to splurge I highly recommend this one!

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Boy
$32

This is a very creamy lipstick and feels great on your lips. The shade is in the pink family but not too light not too dark. The perfect pink. I am one of those girls that carries about 10,000 lip products in her purse and I seriously am thinking of having only this and chapstick now. Maybe.

What are your favorite/must have lipsticks??

Happy Hump Day! YAY for it being Midweek!!

The Friday Five

One of my favorite bloggers Christina does this every friday, several others do too but I really liked her version so I decided it was ok to borrow/steal it. Hope everyone has a great weekend! xoxo

1. What I'm Reading:

For pleasure.

For motivation. I highly recommend this if you are attempting to get fit or get motivated to get fit.

2. What I'm Listening To:

Love love loving his new album.

3. What I'm Watching:

Last nights episode was SO good! If you don't watch this start NOW.

It is the very last season. So sad.

Seriously love these things. They are so good. I have been eating one with a banana for breakfast on mornings when makeup trumps toasting an english muffin.

FAVS: MAC Eyeshadows

Oh geez. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I am in love with MAC cosmetics. Seriously. One day I will do a post on my eyeshadow collection, but today I thought I would condense and pick my favorite/most used ones. This was very hard to narrow down but I was very proud that I narrowed down to 10 of my favorites. I have been collecting MAC products for about 10 years so my collection has gotten fairly large but these are the shadows that I have repurchased tons of times and ALWAYS have on hand. If you have never used MAC, you should. It is by far my favorite makeup brand overall. If you have seen the products before but were overwhelmed and didn't know what to buy here are some great ones to try. You will notice that I am a big fan of neutral brown colors. I have blue eyes and I just find they work best, if I want to be daring I go for a shimmery coppery color.

 All That Glitters
Probably one of the first shadows I ever bought. Perfect inner corner highlight. Perfect all over lid color for a super casual day. Such a pretty color.

 Dazzlelight
This is my everyday highlight color. I've hit pan on this so you can tell I use it a ton. I have repurchased this I don't know how many times.

 Sweet Satisfaction
This is one of the newer pro-longwear shadows. They are meant to last all day without creasing. I love love love this color. Very pretty slightly shimmery taupe color.

 Honey Lust
Very pretty shimmery copper color, very similar to Mythology one of my other favorites but a lighter version.

 Retro Speck
First MAC shadow I ever bought. This color is a must have. Period.

 Era
Super light, very wearable, just pretty taupe shade.

 Tempting
Great for a smokey eye, it is a very pretty brown color with a bit of shimmer.

 Satin Taupe
This is a very pretty taupe shade. I love building this up for a night out.

 Texture
This is a velvet finish, super pretty copper color. Very light and no glitter.

Woodwinked
Hands down my favorite MAC shadow ever!! I will always have this color in my collection. You can blend this out to be super light and pretty or really build it up for a lot of color. Buy this.

Swatched Left to Right: Woodwinked, Tempting and Satin Taupe
This is with one swipe so you can see how pigmented these shadows are.

Do any of you love MAC as much as I do? What are your favorites?

Single Ladies- Read This!!

Oh girls. I'm telling you it is hard being a single girl out there these days. Anybody with me on that? My pastor, who is the most awesome pastor on the planet side note, wrote this post on his blog today and I just had to re-post it. He gives the best dating/relationship advice and shoots straight from the hip. You can watch our church online at http://www.newspring.cc/.

You Probably Should Not Date Him If....

Attention single ladies…dating is not a recreational sport, it’s a BIG DEAL and you are way more valuable than you could imagine. There is no such thing as the perfect guy, but you should consider the following warning signs and probably should not date him if…

#1 – He Uses The Phrase, “The Ball Is Now In Your Court!”
This usually means that he is tired of pursuing you…and so he is going to abdicate his role as the man and actually wants you to pursue him! DON’T DO IT!! You are worth the pursuit and if you wind up pursuing him now then he is, most likely, not going to pursue you after you get married. (And GREAT marriages always include pursuit…by the man!)

#2 – He Says He Has “Issues” But They Will Get Better Once You Are Married.
Marriage is a magnifier–period! If he is addicted to porn now it’s not going to disappear when you get married. If he has racked up a massive amount of debt on credit cards and is unwilling to address it and make changes then you are headed for a financial train wreck…and unfortunately bankruptcy and divorce LOVE to hang out together!

#3 – You Have To Tell Him To “Stop” Because He Is Making You Uncomfortable!
He should NEVER put you in that position. He is not struggling for purity if he isn’t fighting for it!

#4 – The Closer You Get To The Wedding The More Uninterested In You He Seems!
If he is slacking off in his efforts to make you feel special today…it’s not going to get better after the ceremony tomorrow!

#5 – You Only Know Him Through An Online Relationship
Anyone can be anyone online! You have no idea who that person really is until you have spent an extended amount of time with then. How do they handle anger? Hurt? Disappointment? DO NOT allow yourself to be swept away by a guy you don’t really know!!!

#6 – You Have To Talk Yourself Into Being With Him (enough said!)

#7 – You Have To Drag Him To Church (enough said!)

#8 – He Lies To You
Trust is HUGE…and, ONCE AGAIN please understand that it won’t “get better” when you get married!!! If he does not love and respect you to tell you to truth about him now…then you can’t trust him, period. And a relationship that is not built on trust will crash!
