Mulberry for Target

A few months ago I was so excited when I heard that the luxurious British handbag line Mulberry was designing a special line for Target.  Their ever popular Alexa bag retails at $1,250 and one of my favorites the Baywater retails at $5,000. So the thoughts of these beautiful bags being designed for a lady on a budget made me ever so happy.

Yesterday the bags made their debut in stores, and while I was hoping for...

This..
This

and this..

 what I saw was...

Ew.

Eww.

and Ewwww.

Needless to say, I was very disappointed. They have a few of the bags that come in black that are not as bad, but the patent looks really cheap, not at all luxurious. And the blue one is denim and I am just not a fan of a denim bag.

I guess there is a reason that luxury has a higher price tag. Mulberry for Target=FAIL

Have you heard about or seen these bags?

OOTD

Dear Fall,

It is 86 Degrees today. Last I checked that was a summertime temp. Please get it together.

And on another note..

I am deeply in love with MAC Mineralize Blush in Utterly Game. It is a peachy color that goes on light, looks fresh and gives your cheeks a really great glow. It is my favorite blush at the moment. You should try it.

A little outfit of the day...

**side note: my wedges are not that tall and I got them at Dillards and they are Michelle D. My cardi is from Talbots and the ruffle bottom top is from Banana Republic. I am also carrying a bag by Jessica Simpson that has a bow in front but Polyvore was a major fail on that. I got my jewelry at a local place called The Silver Link.

Foodie Friday: A Dedication

In honor of my very first reader, second mom and dear friend whom I affectionately refer to as Pammy, I would like to dedicate this post... because today is her BIRTHDAY!!!!!!

Happy Birthday to my dear friend! I love you more than words.  I wish you many more wonderful birthdays to come!! xoxo

All of these fantastic cakes were made by Corina Collier who has unfortunatley stopped making them. All I can say is they've come a long way since my 2 yr Birthday Big Bird Cake!

PB Rooms

My parents recently bought a new house so needless to say my Mother and I have been obsessed with decorating for the last 2 weeks. I have scoured the Internet for ideas for furniture and bedding. It's quite exhausting but sooo fun. I'm pretty convinced that I would love to work for Pottery Barn and do nothing but create beautiful rooms all day long. (A girl can dream right?!) Anyway, in my search I have found some amazing rooms that I am just in love with and hope to recreate. Pottery Barn just has this way of making a room so cozy and cheerful at the same time. I just love it.

(side note/p.s.: any help with sites that have great bedding, besides department stores (I have checked them ALL) would be a huge help!! :) )

Room ideas I love...

Foodie Friday: Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cakes

Happy Fall Y'all!!!!! I love love love this time of year!!! It makes me want to squeal with excitement that I actually NEEDED a cardi today!! The air is a bit crisper and the leaves are starting to turn and Starbucks is serving up Pumpkin Spiced Lattes by the dozen! Yes, FALL is here!!!! Finally!

A few years ago while I was in Savannah, Ga I went and ate at the famous Lady and Sons restaurant owned by Paula Deen. The food was good but the desert was my favorite thing! They let you order little bowls of different desserts, so I tried the Banana Pudding (BEST I've ever had!!!!) and a Chocolate Gooey Butter Cake. Can I just say, BEST cake I've ever tried. Ever!! So yummy. I mean who doesn't love gooey? It just makes cake even better. So, when I came across a recipe for Paula's PUMPKIN gooey butter cakes I got sooo excited!! I cannot wait to try this recipe!! I hope you guys try it too, if you do let me know what you think!

Do you have any favorite Paula Deen recipes I should try??

Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cakes

Ingredients:

Cake:

1 (18 1/4-ounce) package yellow cake mix
1 egg
8 tablespoons butter, melted

Filling:

1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
8 tablespoons butter, melted
1 (16-ounce) box powdered sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Combine the cake mix, egg, and butter and mix well with an electric mixer. Pat the mixture into the bottom of a lightly greased 13 by 9-inch baking pan.

To make the filling: In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and pumpkin until smooth. Add the eggs, vanilla, and butter, and beat together. Next, add the powdered sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and mix well. Spread pumpkin mixture over cake batter and bake for 40 to 50 minutes. Make sure not to overbake as the center should be a little gooey.

Serve with whipped cream.

Have a fabulous Friday everyone!!
