Foodie Friday: DC Cupcakes

Has anyone else been hooked on TLC's DC Cupcakes? It seriously makes me want to drive to DC right now and have a whole dozen. They all look so yummy. The series follows two sisters and business partners, Sophie LaMontagne and Katherine Kallinis as they run Georgetown Cupcake, located in Washington, DC. I highly suggest running over to their website but just be aware, you will probably have the urge to hop a plane and have a cupcake at this adorable cupcakery! The shop looks super cute and I love the sister's monogrammed aprons! It basically seems like cupcake heaven...

Gameday Outfits: Round 3: University of Florida

 Florida football has 2 things I love: Orange and Tim Tebow. Ok, so maybe not Tebow anymore, but they still have the Orange. I have never been to a game at UF but I have heard that the atmosphere in the swamp is one that is very similar to that in Clemson on your average Saturday in the fall. One thing I do know is that the weather is HOT! Our first game is the first Saturday in September and it is usually in the 90's or higher, I'm sure it is that way in Florida too.

A few things that are CRUCIAL on a game day are: 
1. Sunscreen!! Put some on when you are getting ready so that you don't have to worry about it later. 
2. Comfortable Shoes!! You will most likely be walking/standing A LOT so flats are recommended! I always opt for flip flops or flat sandals.
3. Wear something that is cool! Don't wear a fabric that is going to show any sort of sweat stains (eww) or that will be cumbersome.
4. Pack your purse/bag the night before! If you don't you will forget important things like your camera, sunglasses ect. A few things I would add to my bag: band aids, shout wipes, aspirin, deodorant, wet wipes, and hand sanitizer.

Gameday Outfits: Round 2: University of Alabama

If I wasn't a die hard Clemson fan... I would definitely be an Alabama fan. About 2 years ago I went to a Clemson/Alabama game in Atlanta, GA. It was one of the most fun games I've ever been to, we didn't win, but the atmosphere was electric! I have always thought that Clemson fans are the loudest proudest fans in the world, but I will admit that Alabama fans can give us a run for our money! Alabama fans are some of the most spirited fans I've seen, and from what I observed some of the most sportsmanlike! Clemson will always be my #1, Alabama is definitely my #2. Rollllllll Tide.

Gameday Outfits: Round 1: Clemson University

I have waited for months and months to start these posts and I am so excited that it is finally time! With college football season right around the corner, I am sure this is an issue weighing heavy on every one's minds. OK so maybe not everyone.. but you get my point. If you are new to my blog then you should know that I LOVE college football. I also LOVE finding cute game day outfits in my favorite colors: Orange and White. I had to start with my school, of course, so I'm sorry to all the non-Clemson fans.. but don't fret, other schools are to come! I will probably focus mostly on southern colleges mainly because we tend to really get into college football down south. We also tend to get into tailgating which is where you can debut your perfect game day outfits! I hope you enjoy these posts as much as I have/am enjoying creating them!  (If you have a school you'd like to see a post on feel free to comment!)

I love all of these adorable iPhone covers, but, sigh... I can't buy any of them. Why? Because I have a Blackberry. I love my Blackberry. I can't imagine a life with no bbm. So I ask, Lilly, Kate, why no blackberry love? I totally get the reasoning that it costs less to manufacture covers for iPhone because they are all the same size and blackberries come in different sizes, but I still don't like it.  I am in desperate need of a cover for mine because it drives me nuts when something is scratched. I can't seem to find a suitable one anywhere.  So, I've decided to settle for the Kate Spade Blackberry Pouch, which is really cute don't get me wrong, but it's not a cover. Any other Blackberry users out there with the same frustration? I say cell phone equality for all!

The Bachelorette Finale

So months ago we watched as bachelorette Ali met 25 guys in her search for true love. (Yes I just channeled Chris Harrison). Last night we watched as she introduced her final 2 guys to her family. We got to see her final date with Roberto, and then we watched as she shockingly broke it off with Chris L. the day before the final rose ceremony, a first in bachelorette history. 

Here is what I think.. I have so much more respect for Ali for letting Chris L. go the day before. Not only to save him the hurt but to also keep him from wasting the experience of picking out a ring and proposing. Chris L. seems like the most genuine, sweet and amazing guy. I happen to think that a sweet southern belle is just what he needs. 

So she chose... SOUTH CAROLINA boy Roberto!! I have loved Roberto since night 1, I think he is absolutely adorable. Ali really was lucky because she had some amazing guys this season. Roberto is so sweet and you can tell that he is madly in love with her. 

So the question is.. Will it last?? I have no idea. I sure hope it works out better than Jake and Vienna. I've watched every season of The Bachelor/Bachelorette and so far only 2 successful (married) couples. Not so great of a track record. But, only time and US Weekly will tell!

Charlie St. Cloud

Over the weekend I went to see Charlie St. Cloud. It is such a good movie, I highly recommend seeing it!! If Zac Efron alone isn't reason good enough then I don't know what is. But, another thing I loved about the movie (aside from the really great acting and storyline) was the female lead Tess' really cute sailor, nautical outfits. Tess is the quintessential nautical prep. We are talking cardigans, headbands, Sperry's etc. I loved practically everything she wore.

The movie is really really good. It is a great gf movie, I went with my bff and we laughed and cried over popcorn. It was fabulous! Go see it and let me know what you think!
